Presentation Skills Workshop  is targeting participants to increase their understanding and implementation of the theories and best practices of communicating and presenting to people successfully. The Program will be interactive, include an intensive teach backs conducted by the participants and will lay down a strong ground for “conveying the message” to different people and different styles of thinking. It will simply provide the opportunity to widen the scope of trainers and offer them the tools to implement such knowledge.


Module One:   Communication Skills
  • How different personalities communicate
  • Understanding Different Personalities using DiSC Profile
  • Discussing the need to consciously choose a communicating channel that suits the listener
  • Principles of effective communication
  • The door to effective communication in oil and gas
  • Trainers who can’t communicate can’t motivate
  • How to make it clear and understandable
  • Communication workshop
  • How do you simplify the message?
  • How do you make sure you are understood?

Module Two:   Presentation Skills
  • Introduction to public speaking
  • Conveying the message
  • Defining the message
  • The more you understand your message the more you are able to simplify it.
  • Perceptions.
  • Checking for understanding.
  • Explore and practice key elements of an effective presentation
  • Create strong openings that capture the audience and create desire
  • Practice using body language that is meaningful and adds to the overall presentation
  • Learn to use techniques to redirect nervous energy
  • Practice methods that add energy and excitement to any presentation
  • Explore the use and timing of humor
  • Identify key methods to organize and enhance presentations
  • Identify strategies for improving transfer of learning back to the workplace
  • Examine and practice effective PowerPoint and flip charting techniques

  • How would you lead a session with the crew?
